Get ready for some summertime Pride excitement in Renton! We’re working on a number of fun events for the community and will update this page as more information becomes available. Here’s what we’re planning thus far:
Renton Pride / Sip ‘n Strut Wine Walk

Friday, June 2nd, 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Renton Pavilion Events Center at the Piazza
Renton’s 2023 Pride will be hosted in partnership with the Renton Municipal Arts Commission and the Renton Downtown Partnership, coinciding with an especially fabulous Sip & Strut Wine Walk that evening in Downtown Renton.
The Pride event, hosted inside the Renton Pavilion Events Center, will be free, family-friendly, all ages, and will feature local artisans and other LGBTQIA+ focused vendors and organizations, as well as a special presentation by a locally famous and fabulous entertainer. Stay tuned for details!
The Sip & Strut Wine Walk is a 21+ event that requires tickets, available here for $35. The wine walk will take participants throughout downtown Renton to participating businesses, where they’ll be able to sample wines from a variety of Washington wineries. The theme this year is Pride, and our booth at the Events Center will have some fun accoutrements available for suggested donations.
Renton Pride Passport 2023

June 5th to June 30th
The Renton LGBTQIA+ Community proudly announces its third year of the Renton Pride Passport which will take place throughout the month of June. The event will feature a “passport” printout available online and at participating businesses which allows nearby residents to visit each passport location and receive a stamp or sticker on their passport printout. The Renton Pride Passport celebrates our allies in local businesses and nonprofits, and provides a fun activity for our community.
City of Renton Pride Flag Raising
Monday, June 5th, 6:00 PM, Renton City Hall

On June 5th, 2023 at 6:00 PM members of the LGBTQIA+ Community, City of Renton staff, councilmembers, and Mayor Armondo Pavone will gather in front of City Hill to raise the Pride flag, a tradition that began in 2019. Members of the community are welcome to join the festivities. There will be live music and refreshments provided by Starbucks. Afterwards, a presentation of the Pride proclamation will be made by the Mayor and City Council at 7 PM, in the 7th floor Council Chambers.
Three years ago, the Renton LGBTQIA+ Community gifted a Philly Pride flag to the city which includes a black and brown stripe in addition to the familiar rainbow Pride flag. These colors symbolize Black and Brown People of Color within the LGBTQIA+ community.
