Member Event – Pride in the Park

Join us for Pride in the Park on Saturday, August 2nd from 11am to 3pm at Cedar River Tail Park! This is a casual, low-key gathering for LGBTQIA+ folks, families, and allies to relax, connect, and enjoy the outdoors together. No stage, no vendors—just a peaceful space to be in community.

Bring your own lunch or picnic blanket and settle in! We’ll have some snacks and drinks available to share, and plenty of shade by the river. Whether you stay for a few minutes or the whole afternoon, we’d love to see you there.

Welcome!

Founded in 2019, the Renton LGBTQIA+ Community is building a strong inclusive sense of belonging, empowering members to promote positive change in our communities, combating prejudice and discrimination, and providing support for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, and similarly-identified people.

If you’d like to get involved, send us an email at rentonlgbt@gmail.com, subscribe to our email list, or join our Facebook group.

Renton Safe Place

The Renton PD Safe Place Program offers victims of hate crimes shelter if they are feeling unsafe – a place where they are welcomed, they can call the police, and wait until officers arrive. Through partnerships with local businesses and organizations, Renton PD Safe Place program decal provides a visual clue for anyone experiencing violence or harassment based on their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.

For information about the Renton PD Safe Place Program please contact the liaison, Officer Roseanne Hynes at rhynes@rentonwa.gov
